  I was nervous buying a boat from Gone Fishing because of the reviews and told them. Also mention that because of my schedule I wouldn't be able to use it for the fist two month. They offered a 4 month guarantee on the boat and engine. The first time I took it out I had several problems and took the boat back the next day. Mark put 3 guys on the boat each working on a problem. Within a couple of hours back on the road home. I took the boat out again and and one of the problems was not solve completely. I took the boat back and Mark had 2 guys worked on it again to solve the problem. I complained that the boat took forever to plane on the water. He change out the propeller with a smaller pitch one and also gave me a second propeller with a different pitch to try. The propeller cut the planing time by 2/3 and is a lot better. I haven't tried the other propeller yet and look forward to trying it. After looking at some of the other reviews I almost didn't but from them, but 2 of my neighbors have bought several boats from them and have been very happy. The way they took care of me I would recommend them.

  Friendly staff at the parts counter and service department, sales on the other hand.. i recently was in the market for a new boat. I was browsing the inventory on there website. I emailed their sales department a question regarding a new boat they had in inventory. I didn't receive a reply until about a week later. I immediately replied upon receiving his email and same scenario. They really need to work on timely email responses to potential buyers, they will continue losing sales otherwise.
